Every subtest explained, how the AFQT and line scores work, and how to study.

What to expect

  • Four-option questions, some with a small circuit diagram.
  • On the real paper ASVAB: 20 questions in 9 minutes. Here: 16 questions.
  • An explanation that shows the formula or the rule each time.

What it measures

  • Ohm's law and basic circuit calculations
  • Series vs parallel circuits
  • Components, symbols and units (volts, amps, ohms, watts)

Instructions

  1. 1Learn Ohm's law cold: V = I × R (and P = V × I).
  2. 2Know the units and their symbols (V, A, Ω, W).
  3. 3Understand how series and parallel change resistance and current.

Tips

  • Memorise the common component symbols (resistor, capacitor, diode, battery).
  • Conductors vs insulators — know examples of each.
  • Practise a few Ohm's-law calculations until they're instant.
