Every subtest explained, how the AFQT and line scores work, and how to study.

What to expect

  • A left-hand diagram and four answer diagrams — no words.
  • On the real paper ASVAB: 25 questions in 18 minutes. Here: 16 questions.
  • The explanation highlights the giveaway detail in the correct option.

What it measures

  • Spatial visualisation and mental rotation
  • Seeing how parts fit together
  • Matching connection points correctly

Instructions

  1. 1For Connectors, follow each labelled point to where its line attaches.
  2. 2For Puzzles, count the pieces and match distinctive shapes and angles.
  3. 3Rule out options with a wrong-sized or wrong-shaped piece first.

Tips

  • Rotation is allowed but flipping/mirroring is not — watch for mirror-image traps.
  • Eliminate obviously wrong options fast; it's a race against the clock.
  • Focus on one distinctive piece and find it in each option.
