What to expect

  • Short, direct maths questions — four options each.
  • On the real paper ASVAB: 25 questions in 24 minutes. Here: a 16-question set.
  • Formula reminders and a worked solution in every explanation.

What it measures

  • Algebra: equations, inequalities, factoring
  • Geometry: area, perimeter, volume, angles
  • Exponents, roots, fractions and number properties

Instructions

  1. 1Memorise the core formulas (area, volume, Pythagoras) — you can't look them up.
  2. 2Simplify expressions fully before choosing an answer.
  3. 3Substitute answer choices back in when an equation is awkward.

Tips

  • Order of operations (PEMDAS) trips people up under time pressure — slow down.
  • Know your perfect squares and common fractions ↔ decimals ↔ percentages.
  • Draw the shape for any geometry question.
